Intervent is a social impact project on Mental Health Awareness for youth. This project was initiated by 5 of us that graduated from Harvard Youth Lead the Change (YLC) program by the Big Red Group.
The Harvard YLC is a prestigious and highly selective leadership workshop designed by renowned Harvard professors and taught by experienced Harvard mentors. It admits elite students from all across the nation. Students are asked to tackle complex social issues, create a full fledged CapStone project and learn leadership through numerous experiential modules.

Intervent was conceived and presented as CapStone project during the YLC program. This Project involved working in a team to identify community issues and develop comprehensive solutions to address them. Guided by experienced Harvard Youth Leaders, we applied leadership and project management skills to bring our Social impact initiatives from concept to execution, culminating in a final presentation to a panel of esteemed judges. This capstone project not only fostered real-world problem-solving and teamwork but also empowered us to make tangible positive changes in our communities.

Intervent continued its journey beyond the CapStone project and today has an Instagram page @intervent101 and a website (yet to be launched) that spreads awareness on mental health and also allows users to participate anonymously. Our team is spread across Brazil, Tanzania and India. To date we have a combined total of 1800 + followers and growing.

InterVent has small and big scale goals

S - Create free and safe spaces for the youth to connect with people with similar issues in our letter walls and virtual platforms. 
M - Measurements for our progress will be the amount and quality of contributions in our virtual platforms.
A - Students can relate with struggles, and connect with different people from their schools, or within the InterVent community. 
R - To have Pilot letter walls in 3 schools and the website. 
T - Aiming to finalize this project and reap its success by December.
